The outdoor housing unit provides a weatherproof,
secure enclosure for the GridBuddy Combo, allowing
flexible placement anywhere outside the home.
Designed for security, reliability, and scalability, this
system adapts to evolving energy needs, ensuring a
future-proof power solution.
Like with all solar solutions, GridBuddy starts with an inverter.
Installed within the loft space, removing any concerns over high voltage
cable running throughout the property, the inverter will convert the DC
power generated by the solar panels into AC to power the house.
The inverter comes with Wi-Fi connection, meaning that the occupant has
access to live data on the energy generation and usage.
Adding batteries to solar systems has become more difficult in the last
12 months due to the release of PAS 63100, an advisory document
by BSI that gives guidance on where not to install lithium batteries
(including in bedrooms, escape routes and, most importantly,
in loft spaces).
