SAFETY ALARMS
GL have designed and manufactured smoke and heat detection
alarms specifically to offer a cost-effective solution for the UK house
builder. The product range includes mains-powered smoke and heat
alarms, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide alarms.
Our line of D1 sealed unit smoke, heat, and multi-sensor alarms are
equipped with 10-year lithium-ion batteries. The slimline design
of our alarms ensures effective home and occupant protection
without being intrusive. Alarms come with dust covers to minimise
contamination during construction. The alarms feature easy-fit
backplates and clip-on heads, allowing easy user replacement.
Our mains-powered smoke, heat and the multi-sensor alarms are
interlinkable for maximum fire protection within your home. With the
launch of a hard-wired alarm control switch in 2024, occupants can
conveniently test, locate, and silence alarms.

D1 System Alarm
Under the requirements of BS5839-6, a Grade D1 system is
defined as one or more mains-powered devices equipped with
a tamper-proof standby battery for seamless backup. Ensuring
compliance is essential for safety, and we’re here to make
it simple.
D2 System Alarm
According to BS5839-6, a Grade D2 system consists of one
or more mains-powered detectors with built-in standby
power supplied by user-replaceable batteries.
